Beginning of school

I you happen to read this soon Ms.Hegeman, I'd like to make a suggestion. I feel like our class watching "Boyz N The Hood", was not really a lesson, We've seen it so many times before. I feel like since I've seen "Higher Learner" only twice, that we should watch it in class. It tackles racism in America after the civil rights movement in the late 80's and 90's. It shows two sides to the story German decent and African-American (black). Both sides of "White" people and "Black" people and how we portray each other.  I feel like it'll give a more vivid understanding on everyone else point of view in America. If you have trouble, The rapper Ice-Cube is in the movie. That can be a Google search for you. I hope you take my suggestion into consideration. -Happy Holidays, see you soon.

CRR?: Today in Ms.Hegeman class we were asked to write about segregation as a topic of bullying. I get get tired of writing essays on segregation and racist views. I believe as African Americans we already know, see, and live through racism through our lives. I think we should do more connections through other cultures and ethnic places. African Americans aren't the only ones who get separated, divided, discriminated, and verbal abused. Since we as class mates know that we're going to be looked upon as unequal to a standard,we should look at other things.

Tahera ? (FC)

Ummmm.... Where should I start? Ah. I'm Tahera, I'm a very loud, rude.vibrant but also mean little person. I call myself little being as it may, that I am 16 years old. I guess my attitude fits the New York life-style, everything about me is New York but in the early 2000's ; Late 90's way. I enjoy the simple things, being outside , dancing, music, creepy cool weird things. I'm very misunderstood, which is fine; I love to surprise people with my random personality features. I live in Harlem, although its no Lower Manhattan, it is vibrant and full of life. All types of people in Harlem, all different people but the same in a way. I feel like I live throughout life in a view of a camera. I look at things as if there were more meaning to it, I don't know what I want to be when I graduate, Nothing really is set in stone; Though I might be a social worker, I'm good with handling other peoples problems then my own.....  I'm kind of boring on my spare time, I don't do much besides read. Ah! Yes , I love to read;Anything with a good plot and twist will have me reading for hours at a time, I love it. Also, Art is one of the biggest things in my life. All the things i can't express, I see it through images that portray myself. Poetry, Music, Visual Art and Dances , all those things make up me.
